VS X - Orders - Beta Notice

VS X - Orders - Beta Notice

Introduction

Thank you for participating in Visualsoft’s BETA programme for “Orders” in Visualsoft’s new platform.

Early adopting Beta software gives you an opportunity to preview and use early software before it is Generally available (“GA”).

Beta software programmes allow us to ship software as early as possible and get feedback from clients on what works well and less well for them. Gaining feedback with early, rather than mature, software allows us to incrementally evolve our software design and feature set when changes are often faster to make.

As Beta software is “early software”, there are some considerations you should be aware of as a precursor to use. By its definition, Beta software is not designed to be complete or finessed, without issues, without errors or have the same operational warranties as Generally available software. As is common in any platform’s Beta programme, the software is provided on an “as-is” basis. We provide no warranties or guarantees regarding its functionality, reliability or performance. Furthermore issues raised for the Beta software sit outside of our operational or support SLAs.

Despite these considerations, we will partner with you to provide the best possible client experience during your use of Beta software; and actively encourage you to feedback issues, suggestions and general feedback on how to improve the product. Doing so allows us to evolve the software to better meet your needs before we make it Generally available when all such aforementioned conditions no longer apply.

This Beta Notice further articulates the considerations of using Beta software which you should be aware of before use.

Beta Software - “As Is”

As previously introduced, Beta software is early software; allowing us to release software as early as possible to get feedback from clients. It is not designed to be complete, finessed, error free or without issue. This means:

  • The software is still in active software development

  • There may be certain features you may already use which are not yet supported or not yet compatible with the Beta software

  • Areas of the software may not work yet as fully intended

  • The software may contain errors or inaccuracies

  • There may be further areas of the user experience to iterate based on client feedback

  • Performance of the software may need further work

  • The Beta software may benefit from more frequent releases as we respond to client feedback

  • Response to queries, issues and issue resolutions for the Beta software are out of scope of our standard operational and support SLAs

  • The software is provided “as is”, with no warranties and guarantees of any kind

  • Client uses it at their own risk

Once these issues above are worked through and resolved as part of “early adoption” processes undertaken during use of the Beta software, the software may be deemed Generally available (GA). Beta early adopters will be notified when the software reaches this position and the above considerations no longer apply.

Data Availability and Refresh

Orders

  • Orders data is powered across both platforms from a single database and therefore any changes made in either platform, will be viewable on the other. For now, Orders are not editable from VS X screens but any changes made in VS3 will be reflected here.

Known Issues

To aid transparency to the current position of the Beta software, the following areas contain known issues. We will work through resolutions for these areas over the coming weeks.

Participating in Beta Programmes

Any client is welcome to participate in Beta software programmes, however, doing so is entirely optional.

In participating, clients gain early access to software which is aimed to improve user experience or provide a better functional fit to client needs. We actively encourage and welcome clients to raise any issues they find, make suggestions for future enhancements or provide us with general feedback that validates what we’ve released or presents wider feedback on how we can improve the software. Details on how to report issues, raise suggestions or provide feedback are here.

We hope you enjoy using the Beta software and thank you for your partnership in helping us improve our platform.
