As part of the onboarding, you can choose to use PayPal for the following;

  • Wallet - (allows you to offer PayPal regardless of which Primary Payment Gateway you use and replaces PayPal Express)

  • Pay in 3 - On site messaging on product pages and basket pages to let customers know that you offer Pay in 3 by PayPal.

Please note, that to offer PayPal Credit, you will need a Credit Broker License and PayPal will need to approve this and provide you with a code that you can then submit through the VS Admin. You must also be processing over £5 million online revenue and will move all processing through PayPal Checkout. To start this process, please use the contact details provided below, giving PayPal the required information that is detailed.

PayPal Pricing

In order to use PayPal Checkout, you need to have a PayPal business account, with the following transactional fees agreed and paid through PayPal:

Note: If you are creating a new account with PayPal, PayPal will apply a £500 limit for card processing until your account is verified.

If you are switching from PayPal Pro to Advanced Card Payments, you will benefit from more competitive rates, improved geographical coverage and stronger fraud management in addition to the monthly fee no longer applying.

If you are upgrading from PayPal Express to PayPal Wallet you will also benefit from competitive rates, with PayPal now offering 2.9% +30p in place of 3.4% + 20p as standard. In addition to this, you will be able to offer local payment methods as mentioned above.

Whilst there is no ability to take offline orders for PayPal through the VS Admin, you can do this using PayPal's portal which also gives you access to day-to-day reporting, sales performance analysis and the risk analysis and fraud prevention tools. If taking offline orders via the VS Admin is important to you, you can use an alternative gateway for this functionality.

Note: At present there is no communication between PayPal and Visualsoft around Buyer/Seller disputes. As a result, communications and checks regarding disputed transactions should be handled directly via PayPal

If you would like to go ahead with this integration, there is no need to submit a ticket. Simply go into your admin and follow the onboarding steps and you could be processing PayPal payments within minutes.
